Job Description

We’re looking for a Director of Engineering to join Novisto! In this role, you will be a key leader driving team performance, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery excellence across our engineering organization. You’ll be responsible for growing and empowering technical leaders, ensuring alignment between engineering execution and business priorities, and fostering a high-performing, engaged, and resilient engineering culture. Acting as a strategic partner, you’ll represent Engineering at the leadership level and help shape the next chapter of Novisto’s growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead and develop Engineering Managers and Tech Leads

  • Inspire, coach, and grow a high-performing team of leaders. Set clear expectations and ensure accountability on delivery, people management, and technical excellence.

Drive alignment with business strategy

  • Ensure engineering priorities and efforts are tightly aligned with company goals. Translate business needs into actionable engineering plans and outcomes.

Improve engineering execution and delivery

  • Champion best practices in planning, delivery, and quality. Optimize team workflows and ensure predictable, sustainable output.

Foster cross-functional collaboration

  • Strengthen partnerships with Product, Data, Design, and other teams to drive cohesive, impactful execution.

Shape engineering culture and talent

  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, inclusion, learning, and continuous improvement. Actively support recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives.

Represent Engineering at the leadership level

  • Act as a voice for the Engineering function in strategic discussions. Advocate for team needs, share technical insights, and influence cross-company decisions.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role (Director or equivalent).

  • Proven ability to manage and grow managers, and to build strong leadership layers within an engineering organization.

  • Experience in scaling teams, processes, and systems in a fast-paced or evolving environment.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and modern engineering practices.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills; able to bring clarity to complexity and foster alignment across stakeholders.

  • Track record of cross-functional collaboration, especially with Product, Design, and Data teams.
