Job Description

About Green Project: Green Project is a SaaS-based carbon accounting and ESG management platform. Under increasing pressure from regulators, investors, customers and employees, businesses—especially small and medium businesses—are struggling to calculate and report on their GHG emissions.

Using Green Project’s platform, businesses of any size can begin tracking and monitoring their footprints. Ultimately, our platform provides the tools our customers need to begin tracking and reducing their corporate carbon footprint in compliance with the GHG Protocol.

Job Overview: Join Green Project as a UX Designer and be a part of a fast-growing climate tech company that's making a positive impact on the environment. As a crucial member of our team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how users experience our platform—from their first interaction to their ongoing engagement. By designing intuitive, accessible, and visually cohesive interfaces, you’ll help demystify complex sustainability data and make it actionable for businesses of all sizes.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that user needs are at the heart of every product decision. Your contributions will not only enhance usability and satisfaction but also drive adoption and retention—key metrics for our growth. You’ll approach design challenges with empathy, ensuring that every interaction is grounded in a deep understanding of user needs, behaviors, and emotions and ultimately, your design expertise will empower our users to make meaningful progress toward their ESG goals, reinforcing Green Project’s mission to accelerate climate action through technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Create low- to mid-fidelity prototypes used to explore and communicate design ideas quickly. These prototypes will be used to validate concepts with stakeholders and users early in the design process, helping to iterate rapidly and reduce development risk.
  • Develop polished, high-fidelity user interface designs that are ready for implementation by engineering teams. These designs will align with requirements defined by the Product team and will reflect an understanding of user needs and accessibility standards.
  • Build out and maintain a design system which ensures visual and functional consistency across the Green Project product suite. This includes defining UI components, interaction patterns, and documentation that supports scalable and cohesive product development.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions with both internal stakeholders and external users to inform design decisions and improve the user experience.
  • Apply human-centered design principles to ensure that every product decision is rooted in empathy for the user. This includes conducting user research, synthesizing insights, and designing solutions that reflect a deep understanding of user goals, pain points, and contexts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years working experience as a UX Designer or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • You have experience using Figma, or a similar design tool, to deliver rapid, iterative prototypes used for facilitating discovery as well as high-fidelity designs based off product requirements for hand-off to engineering teams.
  • You’ve led, or contributed to, setting up and managing a design system for SaaS and/or eCommerce products.
  • You have experience with usability testing with both external customers and internal users. You know how to plan, conduct, and analyze user research to improve design effectiveness and user satisfaction.
  • A proven ability to design accessible UIs that align with WCAG guidelines.
  • Experience in climate and/or sustainability spaces a plus.
  • First-hand experience with technical implementations of UI/UX is a plus.

Salary Range:

$100,000-125,000 base. Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as location, job-related knowledge, skills, level and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.

What We Offer:
