We’re growing our capacity to fund and fuel this work, and we’re looking for a savvy, mission-aligned Grant & Proposal Writer to help us do just that.
We’re seeking a driven, strategic, and resourceful Grant & Proposal Writer to help secure funding and partnership opportunities for Fluid Studios’ client projects, original content initiatives (like Rising Tide: The Ocean Podcast), and mission-aligned campaigns.
This is a commission-based role — perfect for someone who thrives on results and is excited to help tell compelling stories to funders, partners, and collaborators.
What You’ll Do:
Research, identify, and assess grant opportunities aligned with Fluid Studios’ mission and work
Write and submit winning grant proposals, Letters of Intent (LOI), and partnership pitches
Collaborate with the creative team to articulate vision, scope, budgets, and impact
Track deadlines, reporting requirements, and progress across active applications
Maintain a database of grant opportunities and funding sources
Support relationship building with foundations, government agencies, and private funders
Help refine narratives for both philanthropic and commercial partnerships
What You Bring:
Proven experience writing and winning grants or proposals — ideally in nonprofit, government, environmental, or creative sectors
Exceptional writing, research, and storytelling skills
A strong understanding of funder expectations and how to make a compelling case for support
Self-motivation, strong follow-through, and ability to work independently
Familiarity with climate, state & local government orgs, sustainability, and/or environmental justice issues a plus
Bonus: experience with budgets, impact frameworks, or reporting
