Purpose

The cybersecurity engineer works as first line of defense for the critical information and assets for the organization.

What to include:

       •           Safeguard the critical infrastructure thorough implementing cybersecurity technologies.

       •           Implementing the cybersecurity requirements mandated by National Cybersecurity Authority, High Commission for Industrial Security and Saudi Aramco

       •           Operational technology and cybersecurity defense

Nature & Scope

The cybersecurity Engineer is responsible to safeguard the critical infrastructure throughout planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining various cybersecurity solutions aim to protect the organization’s information and assets from all potential cyber threats.

What to include:

       •           Cybersecurity Manager

       •           Working cooperatively in plant operational environment with safety, process control engineers, operations, maintenance and other relevant. The cybersecurity team consists from GRC and Engineering.

  • Vulnerability Assessment
  • Penetration Testing
  • Physical Security
  • Cybersecurity Drills and tabletop exercise
  • SIEM Management

Principal Accountabilities:

What to include:

  • Expert in working with various Operational Technology/Industrial Control Systems.
  • Have strong hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions.
  • Expert with cybersecurity tools such as active directory, firewalls, SIEMs, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, vulnerability assessment, patch management, backup and recovery.
  • Skilled to lead on-site projects related to industrial control systems.
  • Good level of knowledge with national and international cybersecurity standards, polices and procedures
  • Expert in vulnerability assessment, patching management, and system hardening.
  • Knowledgeable in designing the systems architecture and network diagrams while meeting the cybersecurity regulations requirements.
  • Skilled to lead cybersecurity drills and tabletop exercise, and incident response and disaster recovery.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and remediate any system errors.
  • Proactive healthiness checks for detective, preventive and remediation countermeasures. 

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

What to include:

       •           Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering or relevant fields

       •           +6 years in OT/ICS cybersecurity engineering

       •           Cybersecurity professional certificates, preferably:

  • CompTIA Network+
  • CISCO CCNA
  • CompTIA Security+
  • EC-Council Certified Incident Handler

       •           Saudi nationality is a must

            •           Very good English language skills in written and verbal communications
