Senior Bridge Engineer

Primary Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our Railway team as a Senior Bridge Engineer for a Railway Construction Supervision Project. This position offers an excellent opportunity for development.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the work is done according to shop drawings, work plan/schedule, quality assurance, safety plan and methodology approved by “The Engineer".

•  Examine work plan/schedule and methodology submitted by the Contractor and recommend if any improvement is required.

• Assist in preparation of draft Work Procedure Manual, required drawings & methodology and detailed proposal for submission for GIBR approval.

• Manage and superintend the works of the staff working under him, day-to-day field work and utilization of available experts to monitor the construction works and provide assistance during defect liability period.

• Assign specific tasks to the junior Engineers/Inspector for implementation of the work.

• Address RFIs submitted by the Contractor for construction of Bridge/Culverts/Viaducts/Road bridges etc.

• Assist "The Engineer" in time and cost management for the successful construction of structures.

• Dealing with any other work assigned by "The Engineer" as per provision of TOR

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Graduation in civil engineering.

• Experience: 10 years' total professional experience (15 years' preferable) Including 7.5 years’ experience (10 years’ preferable) in transportation field (preferably in railway sector). Moreover, 5.5 years' experience (preferably 8 years’) in similar type construction supervision consultancy services in transportation sector including 2.5 years' experience (5 years’ preferable) as Railway Bridge Engineer or similar post for similar construction supervision services required
