Notre usine de séparation d’air située à St-Augustin-de-Desmaures et produisant de l’azote, l’argon et de l’oxygène liquide est présentement à la recherche d’un technicien en distillation cryogénique.

Le technicien en distillation cryogénique est responsable du contrôle et de la surveillance du procedé de séparation des gaz au sein de notre usine fortement automatisée (p. ex. compresseurs, etc.), ainsi que de l'entretien de l'équipement dans le but d'en assurer le bon fonctionnement. Les autres responsabilités incluent la prise de lectures sur divers équipements et l'exécution d'inspections de l'équipement.

Il participera à la gestion de la maintenance préventive, du programme de sécurité, au chargement des citernes, gestion de projets divers, etc. Le candidat recherché devra démontrer un grand sens des responsabilités, et être une personne fiable, intègre et autonome.

Responsabilités principales: 

• Contrôler et surveiller les processus de fabrication continue servant à la production de gaz industriels (oxygène, azote, argon)
• Utiliser des compresseurs et des pompes
• Controler les boucles de procédé des colonnes de distillation
• Prise de lectures sur divers équipements
• Prendre part aux suivis des puretés, aux contrôles de qualité et aux diverses calibrations d'instrumentation
• Exécuter des inspections de l'équipement
• Effectuer des entretiens mineurs
• Effectuer le chargement des remorques de citerne
• La participation aux arrêts de maintenance de l'usine est requise
• Préparer et soumettre des documents, y compris des procédures opérationnelles normalisées, des audits à l'interne ou à l'externe et des documents sur la gestion des changements
• Gérer des projets de différentes envergures planifier et consolider des réparations préventives, correctives et palliatives
• Surveiller les activités des sous-traitants externes
• Offrir de la formation sur la sécurité aux sous-traitants
• Suivre les procédures de verrouillage et d'étiquetage
• Émettre des permis de travail pour les reparations et travaux effectués dans l'usine
• Prendre part aux améliorations continues et à participer activement à maintenir un niveaux de sécurité maximal en tout temps sur les lieux
• Servir au besoin de personne-ressource pour résoudre les problèmes de l'usine
• Tout autres tâches relié à l’emploi

Exigences de l’emploi: 

• Diplôme d'études secondaires ou l'équivalent
• Formation technique du secteur de la maintenance industrielle, instrumentation/contrôle, chimie analytique, génie de procédé ou tout autre domaine connexe jugé pertinent.
• Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en milieu industriel lourd ou exploitation d'usine
• Aptitudes en mécanique et habiletés autant intellectuelles que manuelles.
•  Compétences reconnues de lecture et d’interprétation des plans et devis.Historique de réussites en matière de programmes sur la sécurité, l'environnement et la qualité
• Capacités éprouvées en communication
• Capacités informatiques requises pour l'utilisation des systèmes de commande numérique; capacités informatiques de base en traitement de données et en communications électroniques (MS Office, suite Office et environnement Windows).
• L'usine est en exploitation 24 h sur 24, 7 jours sur 7; cependant, les quarts prévus sont du lundi au dimanche, de 7 h à 17 h.  Possibilité de travailler au besoin après 17 h; le titulaire du poste doit pouvoir travailler le soir et la fin de semaine de manière autonome
• Être disponible à travailler sur appel
• Compétences interpersonnelles éprouvées et attitude orientée vers le travail d'équipe
• Débrouillardise, autonomie et aptitudes à travailler sans ou sous supervision minimale.

Plant Operator

Our St-Augustin, QC Air Separation production facility, manufacturing nitrogen, argon and liquid oxygen, is currently looking for a Plant Operator. The incumbent will be responsible for operating and monitoring our plant utilizing process knowledge to achieve safe and efficient operating results. He/she will be participating in equipment inspections, preventative maintenance programs, safety program, loading, managing various projects, etc. The candidate will have to be highly responsible, trustworthy, autonomy and independence.

The Cryogenic Distillation Technician is responsible for the control and monitoring of the gas separation process within our highly automated plant (e.g., compressors, etc.), as well as the maintenance of the equipment to ensure proper operation. Other responsibilities include taking readings on various equipment and performing equipment inspections. He will participate in the management of preventive maintenance, the safety program, tank loading, management of various projects, etc. The candidate must demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, and be a reliable, honest and autonomous person.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Control and monitor continuous manufacturing processes used for the production of industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon)
• Use compressors and pumps
• Controlling the process loops of the distillation columns
• Taking readings on various equipment Take part in purity monitoring, quality controls and various instrumentation calibrations
• Perform equipment inspections
• Conduct minor maintenance Load tank trailers
• Participate in plant maintenance shutdowns  
• Prepare and submit documents, including standard operating procedures, internal or external audits, and change management documents.
• Manage projects of various sizes, plan and consolidate preventive, corrective and palliative repairs
• Monitor the activities of external processors
• Provide safety training to contractors
• Follow lockout and tagout procedures Issue work permits for repairs and work performed in the factory
• Participate in continuous improvements and actively participate in always maintaining the highest level of safety on site
• Serve as a resource person to resolve plant issues as needed

Role Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in the industrial maintenance sector, instrumentation/control, analytical chemistry, process engineering or any other related field deemed relevant.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy industrial or plant operations.
• Mechanical skills and both intellectual and manual skills.  
• Recognized skills in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Proven track record of success in safety, environment and quality programs.
• Proven communication skills and basic computer skills required.
• The plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; However, scheduled shifts are Monday to Sunday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Possibility to work if need be after 5 p.m.
• The incumbent must be able to work evenings and weekends independently and be available to work on call.
• Proven interpersonal skills and team-oriented attitude.
• Resourcefulness, autonomy and ability to work without or under minimal supervision.
