The Instrumentation & Controls Technician is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, calibrating, testing, and performing periodic maintenance on field instruments, equipment systems, and controls. This ensures that product specifications and quality standards for performance are consistently met. The Technician also evaluates equipment for necessary modifications, performs complex repairs or removes instruments requiring overhaul during scheduled maintenance, and troubleshoots during unscheduled repairs.
Follow all workplace safety policies and quality guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Connect, program, evaluate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and customer standards.
Record and report abnormal equipment functions or out-of-tolerance conditions, initiating corrective actions and proper documentation.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and other activities following approved guidelines and procedures.
Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices after repair work is completed.
Communicate effectively with customer staff regarding calibration, repair, and operation of equipment as necessary.
Perform all tasks in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance, and safety procedures.
Maintain equipment and work areas in clean, safe, and organized condition.
Understand and interpret programming logic for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related control devices.
Perform run-offs and testing of electrical enclosures to ensure proper operation.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Salary range:
