Lead the end-to-end development and productionization of pull band manufacturing processes.
Apply expertise in laser welding and laser cutting to develop robust, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs ensuring compliance with ISO 13485.
Develop and maintain Product Technical Files, including risk assessments and supporting validation studies.
Ensure Design Verification and Validation (DV&V) activities are performed to the highest standards, including the generation of protocols and reports.
Utilize statistical tools (e.g., R&R studies, DOE, equivalence tests) to optimize and validate processes.
Lead Process Verification and Validation (PV&V) for final release of products into commercial manufacturing.
Ensure strict compliance with quality, regulatory, and business requirements during all stage gate reviews.
Use project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) to drive timely and effective project execution.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and support staff.
Stay informed of market trends, competitive technologies, and industry best practices to maintain a high-performing process development function.
NFQ Level 8 (or higher) in a Technical Discipline: Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Biomedical Engineering.
8-10 years of relevant industry experience in process development, with a track record of successful product commercialization.
Proven experience with laser processing technologies, including welding and cutting.
Demonstrated experience in ISO 13485 environment and creation of technical documentation.
Strong understanding of design controls, verification & validation, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and process optimization tools.
Solid project management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional engineering projects.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
