The Role:


Sensus, a Xylem brand, is seeking to hire a Business Systems Analyst to join their Morrisville based Professional Services team.  We are looking for an articulate self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage tasks with minimal oversight.  This position will execute tasks related to the integration of Xylem applications.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist Utility customers with accessing and getting started with the Xylem Data Lake (XDL). This may include validating data, sharing XDL material, providing high level overviews, introducing users to BI tools (e.g., Apache Superset, Power BI) and writing custom reports

  • Assist in integration efforts of Xylem solutions with Utility customers and 3rd party systems

  • Gather and document Utility use cases for data access and consult on best practices for obtaining the required information.

  • Document user requirements and create Professional Services Statements of Work

  • Track and prioritize requirements while ensuring timely deliverables

  • Ensure projects are documented, prioritized and executed to address program/project requirements

  • Coordinate activities and ensure effective and timely communication to all relevant stakeholders

  • Proactively develop innovative approaches, risk mitigation strategies, and assist in continuous improvement

  • Act as a liaison between business users, software engineering and distributor partners

  • Assist in maintaining the current integration and training materials on Confluence.  Communicate updates to integration and training material to the appropriate parties within Xylem.

  • Assist as needed on other Professional Services efforts. 


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.

  • 2 years’ experience with Relational Databases using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Apache Supersets)

  • 2 years’ experience writing complex SQL queries

  • Broad application knowledge (i.e. SQL, use case writing, business processes and system workflows documentation).

  • Strong technical aptitude, including writing complex SQL queries, proficiency with command line interfaces and data interchange formats (JSON and XML)

  • Familiarity with API integrations (REST, SOAP)

  • Excellent Planning and organizational skills - the ability to manage many projects at varying stages of progress.

  • Strong requirements gathering skills – The ability to accurately document a customer’s concerns or requests for functionality, including use case development and Statements of Work (SOW)

  • Excellent Communication skills - the ability to communicate project requirements and status to the Utility, Distributors and Vendors

  • Ability to work with wide range of people, in several locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

  • 2 years’ customer facing experience

Travel:

  • Up to 20%
     

Salary range:

$76,300.00 - $122,100.00
