Job Description

The Software Systems Engineer develops, modifies and codes software systems programming applications. Responsible for evaluating and preparing system engineering and technical analyses; documents, proposals for change, and other technical documentation.

General Responsibilities
• Key participant in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communication
• Collaborate on analyzing the existing software and improving the processes
• Organize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionality
• Key participant in integration of in-house software for our test equipment
• Taking part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimization

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Desirable Criteria:

  • MCSA & or MCSE in MS SQL
  • 3+ years' experience in developing MES applications.
  • Machine integration and data collection
  • Experience in data optimization and report creation
  • Proven track record of improving performance of database
  • Experience and understanding of SQL Database Migration, Restoration and Maintenance
  • Experience with data transformation and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processed.
  • Data Warehousing

  • Key participant in the design and development of MES production applications covering the data pipe integrating shop floor to enterprise application with systems.
  • Working on Smart Factory Solutions as part of our Industry 4.0 Strategy
  • Taking part in modifying and optimising existing systems and development of new opportunities
  • Collaborating with various internal teams and external vendors on software projects
  • Creating reporting tools for end users
  • Providing production support for existing systems and processes developed by the MIS team
  • Training end users to use new functions and systems
  • Manage database backups and recovery procedures
  • Implement database security measures to protect sensitive information
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands



Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree and 4-6 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors’ degree) or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Masters’ degree)
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organisation, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Experience of two or more of the following T-SQ, VB.net, C#.net, ASP, ASP.net , SSMS, Rest API Creation, Agile, Cyber Security Protocols.
  • SQL server 2008R2 – 2022
  • Ability to create and deliver handover documentation and peer training/mentoring
