Job Description

New Energy Nexus (www.newenergynexus.com) is an international organization that supports clean energy entrepreneurs with funds, business acceleration, and access to networks. We operate programs in the USA, China, India, Uganda, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. New Energy Nexus launched its Vietnam program in April 2019.

In Vietnam, New Energy Nexus is building an ecosystem of clean energy entrepreneurs working on solutions to address the regional energy transition and climate change. We support energy entrepreneurs to create new innovative energy companies that will help to build the nation’s clean energy economy.

The Role

We are seeking a Marketing Intern who is passionate about social media and clean energy innovation. This role will focus primarily on managing and growing our presence on Facebook, as well as supporting the coordination and operation of our programs and events.

This is a part-time role (30 hours/week), based in Ho Chi Minh City. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, international environment and gain hands-on experience in both marketing and program operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Social Media (Main Focus)

  • Create and publish engaging content for our Facebook page and other social platforms (if needed).
  • Develop creative social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and community engagement.
  • Design basic marketing materials including social media graphics, event banners, template email and infographic.
  • Monitor social media performance and suggest improvements based on data insights.

 

Program Support & Operations

  • Support the Program Team in coordinating, and executing events and workshops.
  • Assist in the preparation of communication materials and event logistics.
  • Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative ideas for program activities and campaigns.
  • Conduct desk research related to clean energy, startups, and the sustainability sector when required.

 

Other Tasks: Perform administrative and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Program Manager or Project Lead.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong English listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about entrepreneurship, climate solutions, and clean energy.
  • Proactive, highly self-disciplined, and comfortable working across global teams and time zones

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing or creating content for social media, especially Facebook.
  • Knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva or similar) is a plus.
  • Event coordination experience is an advantage.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving mindset.
  • Open-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
