AI & Data Intern (Paid): Biomass Logistics & Traceability System

Location: Remote (with optional occasional field visits)
Duration: 3–6 months, with opportunity to transition into full-time

About Enable Earth
Enable Earth is pioneering industrial biochar carbon removal in Southeast Asia. We turn agricultural residues, currently burned in open fields, into high-quality carbon removal credits under global standards. Our mission is to combat PM2.5 pollution, restore degraded soils, and create new income streams for smallholder farmers. Our first facility is under construction in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

About the Role
We’re seeking a bold, analytical, and hands-on intern who is eager to work at the intersection of AI, climate action, and sustainable agriculture. You’ll work directly with our team and advisors to test and build early-stage prototypes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and test geospatial algorithms integrating satellite imagery, elevation data (DEM), road networks, and crop calendars

• Assist in building decision-support tools for biomass routing and collection planning

• Design and prototype field-level traceability features

• Support database setup and spatial data collection during field visits

• Contribute to the documentation and visualization of models, maps, and data flows

• Engage with agritech advisors and local field teams to ground-truth models

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or skilled in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, AI/ML, Environmental Engineering, or related fields

• Strong foundation in Python and geospatial tools (e.g., QGIS, GDAL, Google Earth Engine)

• Experience or interest in machine learning, optimization, or logistics routing (e.g., Dijkstra, A*)

• Familiarity with remote sensing platforms (e.g., Sentinel, Landsat) or Google Earth Engine

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and willing to get your boots dirty
