Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive EU Project Manager to lead the implementation of a newly awarded EU-funded project. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all project activities, managing the consortium of 8 partner organizations across Europe (Czechia, Portugal and Denmark), ensuring compliance with EU regulations, and achieving the project’s objectives within scope, timeline, and budget. Fluency in Czech and English (both spoken and written) is required, as the role involves close collaboration with the Czech team as well as regular communication with international partners.

Reports to: ProVeg Czechia Co-Director Responsibilities
1. Project and Consortium Management- Serve as the central contact point for all consortium partners and EIT Food (or relevant funding body).
- Ensure effective coordination and communication among all partners.
- Schedule and facilitate consortium meetings.
- Monitor progress across work packages and partner responsibilities.
2. Financial and Administrative Oversight- Oversee project budget and expenditures in collaboration with the finance team.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial and technical reports.
- Support consortium partners in fulfilling their reporting and documentation requirements.
3. Compliance and Quality Assurance- Ensure adherence to the funding agreement, EU guidelines (Horizon Europe), and organizational policies.
- Maintain high-quality documentation, risk management protocols, and project governance.
4. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement- Liaise with external stakeholders, including EU institutions, advisory boards, and relevant networks.
- Oversee internal and external communication plans, including public deliverables and dissemination activities.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning- Develop and implement a project monitoring and evaluation framework in collaboration with the MEL team
- Track performance indicators and report on project outcomes and impact.
Qualifications
Essential:- Minimum 3 years of experience managing complex, multi-partner EU-funded projects (e.g., Horizon, LIFE, Erasmus+).
- Strong project and financial management skills, including budgeting, reporting, and work planning.
- Proven ability to coordinate and engage diverse stakeholders across sectors and countries.
- Fluency in Czech and English (written and spoken).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Desirable:- Fluency in additional European languages is a plus.
