Job Description

Supervises a group of individual contributors providing support to the Stations Training Programs and training aspects of online and outage access-processing of site and supplemental personnel. Coordinates with site and vendors to address facility issues. Reports directly to the Training Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Owns the Instructor Training Program

2. Oversees the site corrective action process for the Training Department(CAPCO/PIC)

3. Maintains qualifications to support Management Review Committee(MRC), Corrective Action Review Board(CARB) and Performance Improvement Review Board(PIRB)

4. Performs causal analysis when required for the training department. Performs response to Nuclear Oversight(NOS) training related issues. Supports Site causal analysis when training support is required

5. Prepares assessment plans for training programs per the assessment schedule. Supports implementation of assessments (team room reservations, setup, breakdown, meals, WIFI, etcetera)

6. Maintains qualifications as Procedure Writer, Technical Reviewer, Responsible Supervisor and QADR to support training procedure development and changes.

7. Maintains the Systematic Approach to Training Evaluation Guide (SEG) up to date for required data submittals. Performs CERTREC data submittal when required.

8. Develops and submits department reports including Tri-annual Performance Assessment Report (TPAR), Training Performance Summary Report (TPSR) and Plan for Excellence.

9. Provides functional supervision to clerical support staff, CAPCO/PIC, Instructional Technologists and Access Process Instructor

10. Acts as the backup to the Access Process Instructor maintaining all required access/qualifications

11. Manage general employee and site access training programs to ensure efficient in-processing.

12. Writes contracts and maintains qualifications as Contract Administrator for Training Department contracts.

13. Maintains an Instructor qualification.

14. Acts as Database Administrator and License Holder for interfaces (Curtis Wright, Nantel and Success Factors).

15. Support station and activities in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, EP duties, and special projects.

16. Provides oversight and acts as trainings point of contact for local college apprenticeship programs supporting the station.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/BA in education or a related field or at least three years of experience administering the Systematic Approach to Training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities using strong leadership and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Classroom training or professional educational experience.
  • At least five years of experience administering the Systematic Approach to Training in commercial nuclear power.
  • Experience with Accreditation Activities Experience conducting comprehensive self-assessments.
  • Experience using and/or managing Learning Management Systems (Vision® preferred).
  • Experience using Susquehanna Nuclear Information Management System (NIMS).
  • Experience using Susquehanna Training Management Database (TMX).
  • Experience with conducting causal analysis and trending
