The Hardware Product Quality Engineer (H/W PQE) in the HW Manufacturing organization at Serve Robotics, is responsible for the development and delivery of Robot hardware products. The H/W PQE will interact closely with cross-functional teams such as HW Engineering, Product Design, Sustaining Quality, Reliability, Operations, Suppliers Quality and Logistics to ensure that products leaving the factory are meeting Serve standards.
Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional team in execution of Product Development processes.
Support the Development and Continuous Improvement of our Product Reliability
Chair periodic Quality Management Reviews
Manage quality escalations and drive quality issue resolution
Responsible for development and execution of a comprehensive product quality plan for products in development.
Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality teams to define design verification and product validation testing requirements.
Define Key Quality Metrics and utilize analytics to present a clear picture of product health in the field.
Support new product development builds at factory as required
Perform periodic out of box audits of finished goods at CM factories
Support CM in resolving technical product, yield, process, material issues.
Track and Verify CM’s execution of SR approved Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s).
Support new product development builds at CM factories as required.
Reviews/Audits CM OQC, Yield Bridge data and improvement actions during Mass Production.
Provide verbal and written assessments of CM quality, top issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participates in Early Field Feedback Failure (EFFA) process and coordinates improvement actions with the CM .
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in the electronics mechanical manufacturing industry.
Familiar with DOE, DFMEA, SPC, Sampling Plans.
Decisive and effective at issue tracking and resolution
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is helpful.
Experience presenting technical information to management and executive stakeholders.
International travel is required
