Job Description

Viscount reuse is a dynamic growth business focused on elimination of single use packaging in the food supply chain.

We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced technical professional to join our team as a National Technical Manager based in Erskine Park, Sydney. In this role, you’ll support our sites across Australia (and occasionally New Zealand) by improving how we maintain and run our equipment. You’ll be the go-to person for maintenance systems, spare parts, and technical problem-solving. You’ll also help train site teams, manage service visits from equipment suppliers, and lead national improvement projects that make our operations safer and more reliable.

If you’ve got experience in mechanical or electrical engineering and maintenance—especially in manufacturing—and you’re confident using systems like Excel or MEX (or keen to learn), this could be a great next step. We’re after someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people, and getting things done. You’ll need to be organised, a good communicator, and ready to take the lead on technical challenges. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Leadership: Champion best practices, optimize schedules, and lead maintenance forums.
  • Spare Parts Management: Oversee critical and non-critical spares, ensuring accuracy, layout, and control.
  • Technical Training: Upskill site managers and technicians in maintenance, MEX systems, and spare parts processes.
  • OEM & Supplier Coordination: Manage service contracts and act as the key liaison for technical support.
  • Project Management: Lead national upgrades, from scoping and quoting to commissioning and handover.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive problem-solving initiatives and standardize maintenance practices across sites.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in FMCG manufacturing, maintenance, or line management.
  • Strong analytical skills and a bias for action.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with MEX (training provided if needed).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and collaborative problem-solving.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a national leadership team influencing operations across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Work in a dynamic, supportive environment that values innovation and initiative.
  • Lead impactful projects that shape the future of our operations.
