About this opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and proactive HSES professional to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact by connecting site-level operations with divisional and group-level HSES initiatives. You’ll play a key role in implementing our Group HSES Systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
This position supports two of our sites – Wacol & Sumner park
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance and support to both management and team members on all HSES matters.
- Lead thorough and timely incident investigations, ensuring compliance with Australian legislative requirements.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and industry standards, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
- Design and deliver engaging training programs to build awareness and capability in HSES practices across the workforce.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Proven experience in HSES management within a manufacturing or industrial environment in Australia.
- Strong knowledge of Australian HSES legislation and best practices.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
