Job Summary:
Leeward Renewable Energy is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Counsel to support our construction and procurement functions. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, as well as supply chain and vendor agreements. This role requires a deep understanding of construction law, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation in the renewable energy sector. The position is in Dallas, Texas and will report to Associate General Counsel. The successful candidate will work with all levels of the organization and contribute to the company’s success.

Qualifications:
JD degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one state
At least seven years of experience in construction law, procurement, or infrastructure projects, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
Familiarity with the IRA, PPAs, Interconnect Agreements, and laws governing renewable energy strongly preferred.
Proficient knowledge of all types of contracts and other documents relevant to the development, operation, acquisition, and financing of renewable energy projects, including balance of plant agreements, turbine supply agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, power purchase agreements, permits, estoppels, certificates, purchase orders, loan and security agreements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and other relevant documentation.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands:
Some travel may be required but is not anticipated with regularity.
Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty-pound boxes.
