To strengthen our team in Spain, we are seeking an experienced and motivated System Validation Technical Team Lead. 


About the role:


We are looking for a System Validation Tam Lead to join our Valencia R&D team. For this role, we are seeking for an experienced manager. Join a motivated multidisciplinary team running state-of-the-art validation processes for embedded systems, and passionate for automation, efficiency and continuous improvement, where Validation/Test Engineers provide high value to the product development and delivery chains.

The candidate will be integrated into a dynamic, cross-functional, experienced team to develop communication systems for Smart Grid transformation.


This is a Full-time, Permanent remote position that requires a strong background in embedded systems, networking, and software quality assurance. In this role, you will be responsible for the team testing and validating cutting-edge communication and networking solutions. You will work with hardware and software teams to ensure product reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build up and manage a System Validation Team
  • Define testing strategies.
  • Participate in all project stages: definition, design, implementation, hardware/system bring-up and system/product delivery.
  • Review product/system requirements and specifications.
  • Design test suites to measure product/system requirements quality indicators (KPIs).
  • Automate test suites at system level with scripting languages and lab instrumentation APIs.
  • Support and extend the existing regression system by maintaining test benches and regression tests to ensure and improve scalability, quality, reliability, robustness and accuracy of test results.
  • Define, execute, analyze and report results of Software and System Test Plans.
  • Increase coverage of the test plans.
  • Make the team grow by contributing to methods and procedures that boost efficiency and continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in System Validation activities.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuit/logic design and hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, traffic generators & analyzers, logic analyzers).
  • Knowledge of Requirements Engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting.
  • knowledge of IP networking and communication protocols.
  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and organized approach to testing.
  • Passion for efficiency and process optimization.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Certifications: ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or higher.
  • Software Quality & Testing Standards: Familiarity with ISO 25000/25010/9126.
  • Linux as a development/work/administration environment.
  • RTOS embedded systems testing experience.
  • Signal theory for communication systems.
  • Experience with SCM tools (e.g., GIT, BitBucket).
  • C programming knowledge.
  • Experience with communication systems.
  • Familiarity with Smart Grid technologies.
