Quotation & Bidding Specialist

Job Description

As a Quotation and Bidding Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation and coordination of bids for commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects. You will analyze project requirements, collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, and ensure timely, competitive, and accurate quotations that align with Guillevin’s standards of excellence and customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer RFQs, tender documents, and technical specifications to prepare accurate quotes

  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain pricing and product availability

  • Work closely with inside sales, outside sales, and technical specialists to ensure bid compliance and profitability

  • Enter and manage quote data using internal systems (e.g., Eclipse or other ERP tools)

  • Ensure all proposals meet company guidelines, pricing strategies, and customer expectations

  • Follow up on submitted bids and assist in post-bid reviews

  • Maintain documentation for bids and quotations for future reference and auditing

  • Stay current with industry trends, product knowledge, and vendor updates

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (Electrical, Business, or Technical) or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of experience in quoting, bidding, or estimating in the electrical distribution or construction industry

  • Knowledge of electrical products, materials, and specifications (e.g., conduit, breakers, switchgear, lighting) is an asset

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and quoting tools
