About the Role

Over the past few years, gener8tor has expanded its international footprint, including the launch of a pre-seed fund in Luxembourg in 2021. To continue supporting the launch of a gener8tor EU-based sustainability fund and further expand our presence in Europe, we are seeking an experienced General Partner with a proven venture capital track record and expertise in sustainability investing. This key team member will drive systemic change by helping launch the

fund and investing in exceptional founders building technologies that accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and collaborating with a high performance venture capital team investing in pre-seed, seed and series A European Union sustainability startups.

• Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Lead and support fundraising efforts to secure the capital for a Luxembourg

based AIF.

• Build relationships with LPs, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and corporate

investors across Europe and the US.

• Represent the fund at industry events, conferences, and investor meetings.

Investment Strategy & Deal Flow

• Leverage an extensive network of source, evaluate, and invest in high-potential

startups.

• Strengthen the fund’s ability to identify the most promising EU-based companies.

• Support startups with mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to capital

markets.

• Governance & Portfolio Management

• Serve on the investment committee to drive decision-making on fund

investments.

• Ensure alignment with institutional governance requirements.

• Take an active role in portfolio oversight, including follow-on investments and

scaling high-growth startups.

• Market Expansion & Thought Leadership

• Strengthen the fund’s credibility within the EU investment landscape.

• Develop partnerships with corporate investors, universities, research institutions,

and government entities to enhance deal flow.

• Represent the fund in public forums, regulatory discussions, and investor

networks.

Key Qualifications

• Senior-level or GP experience in venture capital, private equity, or institutional investing, with a strong track record of leading early-stage investments in the European Union.

• Established LP and investor relationships in European financial markets, with a track record of raising institutional capital.

• Strong understanding of fund structuring, governance, and European regulatory

requirements (including SFDR Article 8, EU Taxonomy, and AIFM investment

frameworks).

• Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and exit successful early-stage investments.

Experience as a GP, Managing Partner, or Investment Director in a venture capital firm, family office, or institutional investment fund.

• Experience in sustainability, climate tech, or impact investing is highly preferred but not required, provided the candidate has significant European investment experience.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in French, German, Luxembourgish or other European languages is a plus.
