The opportunity:

Support engineering to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and schedule. Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business unit has delivered more than 4,000 projects over the last 15 years. Our Grid Integration portfolio spans a wide range of transmission and substation applications, which facilitate reliable and efficient system integration of the future digital electric network with minimum environmental impact. We incorporate the integrated systems, solutions and services of our business' DC and AC fields, including HVDC, Substations, FACTS, Grid and Power Quality solutions such as offshore wind connections, and Semiconductors. We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

How you’ll make an impact:

• You will involve in Computer Aided design & drafting (CAD/CAM/CAE) work focuses on the documentation, illustration, and digital modelling of engineering design and process including.

• You will be assessing engineering requirements and translating into technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using CAD/CAM/CAE software or applying standard CAD/CAM/CAE techniques to digitize, edit, and revise engineering drawings of components, parts, and assemblies.

• You will be customizing CAD/CAM/CAE software to model complex or unusual design, creating digital proto-types and conducting design simulations for purposes of verifying reliability/safety and optimizing engineering processes.

• You will be collaborating with product/manufacturing process engineers by recommending changes to component design based on outcomes of digital proto-typing and design simulations, providing materials lists and cost estimate.

• You will take responsibilities may include Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations, training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower-level employees, problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• You hold Vocational/ITE/Diploma training in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• 3 years in experience in power sectors is highly desired.

• Fresh graduates will be considered as well. Sound knowledge AutoCAD.

• BIM360 exposure will be appreciated. Advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education.

• Good understanding of the transmission regulations and current H&S legislation. Able to work in team and good interpersonal skills and proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
