For our Lithium Extraction Team in Landau we are looking for you in full time (40h) and in permanent employment, as Senior Process Engineer (m/f/d)  for our Lithium Extraction Optimization Plant. As an experienced professional in R&D and commissioning plants and units you will take on a crucial part in our mission to decarbonize Europe´s lithium production  Your mission
  • You are responsible for defining R&D topics, conducting bibliographic surveys, setting test objectives, determining necessary tools and resources, and collaborating with teams for planning purposes.
  •  You take care of designing and constructing experimental setups, ranging from laboratory scale to pilot tests, and developing operating procedures for equipment.
  •  Your role includes providing support during the commissioning and operation phases of optimization plants.
  •  You perform heat, water, and mass balance analyses on various stages of the lithium extraction process to aid in engineering optimization and commercial plant design.
  •  You propose improvements and optimizations for different steps of the lithium extraction process.
  •  You are tasked with collecting, analyzing, and delivering high-quality reports and presentations based on gathered data.
Your profile
  • You have successfully completed a degree in process engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a comparable field of study. 
  • You are experienced in developing and operating hydrometallurgical processes, engineering and commissioning hydrometallurgical plants or units. 
  • Experience with lithium extraction processes (DLE processes, conversion of LiCl to LiOH) is a plus. 
  • You enjoy teamwork and sharing your knowledge/experience. 
  • You have an analytical way of thinking and a willingness to constantly learn about new topics.
