YOUR IMPACT
As an experienced Cryogenics Engineer, you will contribute to the design and operation of our large-scale, high-field superconducting magnets and our net-energy stellarator, Alpha. As an expert in cryogenic system design and analysis, you will play a leading role in a critical aspect of our stellarator development program.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Leading the specification and design of cryogenic facilities.
- Contributing to the overall cryogenic design of the Alpha stellarator, ensuring robust and efficient cooling of its large-scale systems.
- Supporting large-scale magnet testing by defining and overseeing the required cryogenic infrastructure and operations.
- Collaborating closely with our team of magnet, mechanical, and electrical engineers, HTS experts, and physicists.
- Conducting performance analysis and troubleshooting of complex cryogenic systems.
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers in cryogenics and related technologies.
- Coordinating projects with external suppliers and partners to deliver with the highest quality and speed.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced in cryogenic design, analysis, and operation, especially for large-scale systems and facilities.
- Skilled in working with superconducting magnets or similar complex cryogenic technologies.
- Proficient in multi-physics modeling, particularly thermal and fluid analysis.
- Experienced in the conceptual and detailed design of cryogenic plants and distribution systems.
- Skilled in engineering development from concept through to commissioning and operation.
- Excited about working in a dynamic startup environment and passionate about innovative technology applied to clean energy.
