This candidate should have both external (customer-facing) and internal (dev-team facing) product management experience. The candidate must also have the experience and excitement to operate and innovate in an unstructured environment, build customer relationships, and identify new opportunities.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Identify, explore, evaluate, and oversee the development of new business/product opportunities for our core RATER market. This involves working with customers (ranging from Builders, Rating Organizations, and Utilities) to understand their needs, analyzing pricing and market sizes, and collaboratively building actionable tasks/tickets with the development team. <ul><li>Define, scope, and oversee the discovery process and creation of MVPs</li><li>Nurture early adopter users of new products and features to bring MVPs to robust, mature products.</li><li>Enable the sales team to sell new products by helping them understand the customer needs and how the products solve those needs.</li></ul></li><li>Grow the number of homes that utilize Ekotrope RATER for HERS Ratings and/or Energy Code compliance </li><li>Enable revenue growth with new products and/or features.</li><li>Maintain our stellar customer satisfaction across our core products </li><li>Support our RATER, Utility, and Builder offerings through supporting CSMs complete interviews, handle feedback, and prioritize feedback</li><li>Provide support in managing Core, Growth, Energy backlogs by reviewing ideas/tickets, writing thorough descriptions, and gathering feedback on priorities </li></ul><h2>Requirements</h2><h3>Must-Have: </h3><ul><li>Candidate must be excited about the Ekotrope mission, vision, and values</li><li>Experience working directly with customers.</li><li>Experience operating in a startup environment or similar unstructured environment requiring innovation, organization, and self-motivation.</li></ul><h3>Soft Requirements (must have at least 2 of the following): </h3><ul><li>At least 2-4 years of professional product management experience</li><li>Knowledge / Ability to learn the Home Energy Rating and home construction topics process</li><li>Experience working with software development teams to turn customer use-cases into actionable development tickets.</li><li>Experience leading a “discovery process,” i.e. exploring client needs, building and testing assumptions, and iterating to find product market fit.</li></ul><h3>The candidate will be expected to</h3><ul><li>Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Be highly organized and accountable, able to manage their tasks given high-level directives.</li><li>Foster relationships with customers through formal and informal communication channels</li><li>Work closely with developers and customers to bring useful, beautiful and powerful products to the market</li><li>Consider tradeoffs between complexity and value</li><li>Connect deeply with our customers and industry to internalize the perspective of our users</li><li>Always be learning. Internally and externally</li></ul><h2>Compensation</h2>Combination of Salary and Stock Options commensurate with skills and experience.<h2>Work Hours</h2>While there is some flexibility, our expectation is that you would work about 40 hours per week and roughly match our Monday-Friday 9-5 Eastern Time working hours, especially our morning Scrum meetings at 9:45am ET.<h2>Location</h2>We have a hybrid environment where team members can work remotely or in our office in downtown Boston (19 Kingston St). We’re looking for…A versatile, creative leader to grow a new business segment within our organization focusing on insights, research, and data for building product manufacturers (BPMs). This person should have skills in business development, product leadership, and account management with experience building out new businesses or product lines. Requirements<ul><li>Experience and knowledge in the building product manufacturing and new home construction industry. Candidate should be able to think like a BPM, understand how they operate, their org chart and how they make decisions</li><li>Candidate should be able to think in the mindset of problem statements and MVPs.</li><li>Must be capable of leading product discovery initiatives and sales, and operating throughout that spectrum. This is different from a traditional sales leadership role, as there is an equal emphasis on product innovation and business development. Candidate should have a experience grooming products from pre-revenue phases all the way to maturity</li><li>Strong intuition around problem solving and value propositions</li><li>Experience in customer account management, business development, and product innovation.</li><li>Candidates must be highly motivated and proactive business leaders who thrive in an independent work environment that aligns with our mission, vision and values.</li></ul> Responsibilities:<ul><li>Developing a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and how Ekotrope can effectively serve those needs.</li><li>Working internally to define, build and refine products and services that meet those needs.</li><li>Responsible for growth of Ekotrope’s data services business segment focused on the building product manufacturing industry, including:<ul><li>Partnering with C-level executives on product strategy and roadmap.</li><li>Achieving bookings and sales targets.
