If our mission is aligned with your values and personal goals, we want to get to know you!<h3>Your responsibilities</h3>As an Accountant you will report to our Finance &amp; Operations Lead. We are looking for someone to:<ul> <li>Process and track all payments</li> <li>Own payroll processing</li> <li>Conduct month-end closing procedures</li> <li>Account assignment and posting of current business transactions (AP, AR, Bank)</li> <li>Prepare and submit quarterly VAT reports (UStVA)</li> <li>Prepare and post additional journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications)</li> <li>Monthly account reconciliation (Bank, Payhawk, pRAP, OPOS)</li> <li>Support financial forecasting and projections</li> <li>Prepare monthly financial reporting</li> </ul>Requirements<ul> <li>A completed vocational training as an Accountant (“Finanzbuchhalter”), a Bachelor/Master degree is a plus</li> <li>Work experience in accounting for 3-5 years</li> <li>Fluency in English is mandatory, fluency in German is an advantage</li> <li>Strong knowledge of accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) and tax regulations</li> <li>Handling of tax and VAT requirements reliably and independently</li> <li>Very good knowledge and experience in bookkeeping programs, preferably DATEV (Rechnungswesen) and with spend management platforms like Payhawk, Candis or Spendesk</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while being diligent, with a strong attention to details</li> <li>Ability to work cross functionally and liaise with different departments</li> </ul>What makes you stand out <ul><li>B2B SaaS Background</li></ul>Benefits<ul> <li>Participation in our PPR program and share in the company’s long term growth and success</li> <li>Discounts and benefits are available through the Plan A Corporate Benefits Platform and FutureBens, an online portfolio offering a variety of sustainability brands</li> <li>Flexibility to work remotely, in-office, or a bit of both </li> <li>28 vacation days per year, 30 days working-from-anywhere, 1 volunteering day per year, plus annual educational leave</li> </ul>
